Recording Engineer (PRN)

📍 Springfield, MO (On-site) | 💵 $28/hour (1099 Contractor to start, W-2 possible as we grow)

At Soapbox Studios, we believe everyone has a story worth sharing. From podcasts to creative video projects, we create a space where ideas come alive with professional sound and visuals.

We’re looking for a PRN Recording Engineer to run audio and video recording sessions in our studio. This is a flexible, on-demand role that’s perfect for students, creatives, and up-and-coming talent who want hands-on experience in media production.

What You’ll Do

• Operate audio & video sessions with Rodecaster Pro, Ecamm Live, iMovie, etc.

• Set up and break down equipment for each session

• Support clients and guests to ensure a smooth, professional experience

• Troubleshoot technical issues and keep things running

• Jump into light editing (CapCut, Captions, iMovie, etc.) as needed

• Share recording tips and help creators get the best final product
